Thymol (also known as 2-isopropyl-5-methylphenol, IPMP) is a natural mono terpene phenol derivative of cymene, C10H14O, isomeric with carvacrol, found in oil of Ajowan, Trachyspermum ammiL. The product is obtained by the fractional distillation followed by the crystallization of ajowan oil. The product is crystalline in nature and is colourless to reddish brown in colour. Thymol is used in mouth washes, cosmetic and flavouring applications.
Further customisations are possible.

What is Thymol Isolate?
Thymol Isolate is a natural mono terpene phenol derivative of Cymene, C10H140. An isomeric with carvacrol, it is found in Ajowan oil, Trachyspermum ammiL. Thymol Isolate is also known as 2-isopropyl-5-methylphenol (IPMP).
How is Thymol Isolate obtained?
Thymol Isolate is obtained by the fractional distillation and crystallisation of Ajowan oil. At the fractional distillation stage, the volatile oil is separated at different fractions or portions at multiple boiling points to purify and isolate the components present in the oil. Crystallisation involves a phase change where in a crystalline product is obtained from the distilled solution.
What are the colour characteristics of Thymol Isolate?
Crystalline in nature, Thymol Isolate usually ranges from colourless to reddish brown in colour.
Which applications is Thymol Isolate used in?
Thymol Isolate is mainly used in cosmetics, mouth washes and flavouring applications. It is also used by the Pharma and Nutraceuticals industry.
